Operating principle
Tunnel dryers are used for heating, drying and fixing, using traditional hot air or other modern methods to heat the product.
The process involves a tunnel with holes at both ends that allow the material to emerge and maintain it in a controlled environment until it is released.
Here’s how it works:
1. The drying material is placed on a conveyor belt that feeds it into a tunnel, where it is maintained at a controlled drying temperature.
2. Fans circulate hot air in the tunnel. The air can move in different models: counterflow, parallel flow or combined flow, depending on the design and requirements for drying.
3. The tunnel use a heat source that can be hot air or refined methods like micro-well, complex or infrared heating.
4. The choice of heating technology depends on the material and the desired drying speed. Speed, air flow, and temperature settings ensure uniform drying as the material moves through the tunnel.
